Transfer of Stock and Mutual Fund Shares

Shares of stock and mutual funds in a taxable investment portfolio can be transferred to Shadow Mountain Church. Giving actual shares instead of cashing them out first provides a significant opportunity to avoid capital gains tax and receive a tax deduction at the full market value of the securities.
